From my Heart to Thine

O but from my heart to thine,

these mundane words of mine.

Receive them my Lord, may your heart be glad,

this little psalm’s from my heart, an outpouring it had.

You have placed in my heart, to you a passion to write,

I shall thus ever compose, for your heart’s delight.

A diddy, a psalm, by grace whatever I do,

be as unhewn stones, be a delight to you.

End to end, side by side, lattice works of words,

for a rough altar to you, and a blessing on earth.

Ever, my Lord, be pleased, with what I do,

let not my walk, confute these words to you.

O but from my heart to thine, these few words be heard,

take wings, fly away, delight his heart mundane words.

I love you great savior God…
