Be not discouraged, put on a big smile, be of good cheer,
in this world trials are many, He who overcame it is near.
Lose not heart, do take heart, find your lasting peace in Him, consummate peace in Him,
He will in nowise disappoint you, though just now things may be grim (“A Letter of Invitation”).
Recall, the devil in this world, and his cronies, they divvy out hurt,
indeed, precisely of them, and that pain, Messiah Jesus did alert. Amen?
What was it He said? Recall and think, what guidance did our Lord give?
He spoke of His peace, nearby peace, by which even now we might live:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 NKJV, note John 12:31 KJV)
When He said He overcame, yon world overcame, yea His Word, the world, overcame,
this world’s prince, unholy norms, alike He laid low, did shame, laid low and did shame.
So let us not be discouraged, let us put on a big smile, and be of good cheer (by-and-by, do try),
our Abiding Champion, Hero, and Lord, grants us His Overcoming Victory, let us not sorrow, let us not fear.
Praised be your Name great savior God. Abiding Champion, Hero, Lord, even ours. How good it is that we
have you, even you. Amen.
